•Extra Consideration will be given to acts or ensembles from outside the continental United States.
•If paying by check or money order, please make the check or money order out to: SEATTLE FESTIVAL OF IMPROV THEATER. If your check bounces, you will also have to pay SFIT's bank fee penalty.
•By submitting, all invited acts agree to list their SFIT appearance in all of their promotional materials for a period of one year.
FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE NOTES
•All invited acts or ensembles will get one or two performance slots within the festival, as dictated by the show schedules and the theater space availability.
•The performance slots are 25 minutes long.
•All invited acts or ensembles will be offered a tech rehearsal on the day of their performance, with SFIT providing a Stage Manager/Light Board Operator.
•Main Stage Performances will be held February 14-18, 2018.
•SFIT has multiple venues: JET CITY IMPROV (5510 University Way NE) and SFIT Second Stage (also known as the Ethnic Cultural Center: 3940 Brooklyn Ave NE). Your group may be scheduled at either venues, or both.
WHAT SFIT PROVIDES
•SFIT will provide all invited acts or ensembles the following in exchange for their performances:
-A professional theatrical venue to perform in with a with a minimum of 130 seats for each venue
-Professional administrative, box office, and technical staff
-Professional advertising, marketing and publicity for the performances
-Comps to industry professionals and agents that attend SFIT.
-Possible inclusion in any private professional auditions held through SFIT.
-SFIT Performer's Pass (one per performer): The pass is good for free admission to SFIT parties and special events, as well as to any SFIT show, on a space available basis.
THERE WILL BE NO STIPEND FOR TRAVEL PROVIDED FOR INSTRUCTORS, PERFORMERS OR PARTICIPANTS FOR THE 2017 SFIT UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED PRIOR TO THE SUBMISSION PROCESS. All performing groups will be paid for their performances.
