When should we arrive? – We hope you will come for as much as of the festival as possible (as we have parties and performances each night) we’d love to see you as early as Thursday (2/21) or even Wednesday (2/20)! (As a performer, you DO get comp tickets to all SFIT performances!)
We DO recommend to have at least half a day between the time your plane lands (or the time you plan on driving into town) and your performance time. (It make us a little nervous if you plane is scheduled to land just an hour or two before you’re supposed to appear on stage!) That way, you have plenty of time to settle into your hotel, do any tech for your show, and maybe even see a little bit of Seattle. When should we go home? – We DO hope that you would be able to stay through the Sunday (2/24) afternoon Dust Up and After-After Party (the traditional cap on the festival itself), and maybe even stick around for a whole additional day to enjoy the sights and sounds of Seattle! The Sunday Dust-Up is SFIT’s answer to the typical festival improv jam. You are all invited to be a part of the Dust Up. Currently, time is TBA – it is likely to be in the afternoon! Staying Here We recommend the following hotels to stay at, that are affordable and in the neighborhood of the performing venues: The College Inn: http://www.collegeinnseattle.com/ The University Motel Suites: http://www.universitymotelsuites.com/ The Graduate Hotel www.GraduateHotels.com/Seattle For discounted rooms at The Graduate (15% off), please follow these steps: Please visit www.GraduateHotels.com/Seattle 1. Go to the "Book Now" tab at the top of your screen 2. Enter the dates you are looking to book 3. Under the “Special Codes” tab 4. Enter your “Group Code”: SOCIAL How Do I Get from the Airport to our Hotel? And Back to the Airport Again (when it’s time to go home)? We will help to arrange volunteers from the Seattle improv community to give you rides there and back again! Stand by for more info about that. Thank you all for being a part of this festival, and look forward to more communications from myself and my staff! |
